Mt Buller Snow Escape

After many years of staying away from snow sports, I finally decided it was time to give in and give it a go!

I’d been to the snow growing up, but as an adult trying anything as physically demanding as snowboarding or skiing is seriously daunting.

My sisters and our lovely partners stayed at a gorgeous place in Mansfield where we were treated to home baked sweets, an array of fresh of produce and laid on luxe vintage furnishings next to an open fire.

On the mountain, I fumbled my way through a two-hour skiing lesson where I felt as though the boots were ripping through my shins (dramatic I know). But after finally getting the hang of it and going down the slope a few times I decided it was time to put my feet up and enjoy some much needed R & R.

Mansfield is a scenic town with quaint cafés and revitalising fresh air and Mt Buller is also picturesque with green leaves popping through the white snow, but be warned, arriving early is a must to avoid crowds and enjoy the views unobstructed.

While I may not put my newly acquired skiing skills to practice any time soon, I would absolutely go back and perhaps try snowboarding instead!
